Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 12β8 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sacramento follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Authentic Japanese matcha with intense flavor! Maiko Matcha CafΓ© imports all of its green tea directly from Harima Garden in Uji, Kyoto, Japan, and you can really taste the quality of the matcha. Parking: Free parking with plenty of spaces in the complex. Service: fast efficient No public restroom. Seating: A few benches inside, but this is more of a grab-and-go spot than a cafΓ© for hanging out. Recommendations: *Matcha Soft Serve Super creamy with an intense matcha flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. The matcha tastes high-quality and is definitely the highlight for me. If youβre a matcha lover, I highly recommend trying it! *Boba Sundae Matcha soft serve topped with kuromitsu boba and a drizzle of kuromitsu syrup. The combination of creamy matcha and the rich brown-sugar flavor was delicious. *Maiko Special Parfait (Matcha) Made with matcha cream, matcha chiffon, chestnuts, and shiratama mochi. A nice combination of different textures and matcha flavors. Product quality: exceptional/highest. Flavor: excellent. Overall, a great place to satisfy a serious matcha craving, especially if you prefer your matcha rich and flavorful rather than overly sweet.

I got the 24k golden "Shogun* soft serve and my husband got the Maiko special with vanilla swirl. If you are a matcha lover, this is for you. They have from ice-cream to teas of different matcha flavors. The atmosphere was clean, friendly staff and i absolutely loved it. The ice-cream was not too sweet and just perfect. My husband totally loved his Maiko special

Maiko special with matcha-vanilla swirl: very good! We could taste matcha flavor in the soft serve. The vanilla swirl gave a bit of sweetness to the ice cream. The crunchy corn flakes were perfect. The adzuki beans at the bottom were perfectly paired with matcha flavor. They gave a lot of jelly pieces but I only got 1 piece of chestnut and 2 pieces of mochi balls.

This is the place to go to to get your matcha fix. From the soft serve to the lattes to the waffles. You can't go wrong. My favorite is the plain matcha tea, matcha and just water. The matcha is so clean and flavorful that it stands out just on its own.

I had their soft serve cone, vanilla/matcha swirl. I like that the ice cream itself wasnβt that sweet, I feel like it had a great balance. The matcha itself can be strong, a little bitter but with the vanilla, it helps balance out the flavors. Spent around $17 for 3 cones. It smells really good when you first walk through the door like theyβre baking something. Next time I have to try their other seasonal flavor. Customer service was great, I highly recommend this place.
